One-Day Hand Building Class Instructor

 

Position Type: Part-Time 

 

Pay: $95 per class (2-hour duration)

 

Class Day: Monday, Saturday and Sunday

 

Location: Studio Calmplex, Midtown East

 

Studio Calmplex is looking for an experienced and engaging One-Day Hand Building Class Instructor to lead our sessions. This role is ideal for a skilled ceramicist who enjoys sharing their craft and fostering a welcoming, hands-on learning experience for students of all levels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach one-day hand-building classes in a clear and approachable manner.

• Demonstrate fundamental hand-building techniques, including slab, coil, and pinch methods.

• Provide personalized guidance and hands-on support to students.

• Foster a fun, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.

 

Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience, with a focus on making ceramics accessible and enjoyable.

• Strong hand-building skills (a demo class is required during the hiring process).

• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different experience levels.

• Passion for ceramics and a collaborative approach to teaching.
